As soon as I graduate I'm might spend the next two years in Latin America, so I'm trying to find a place with good salsa all the time.

So does anyone know the best places for salsa down there?

(cuba isn't really an option for me since I'm from the U.S.;
cheaper countries are ideal since I'm a student don't have much money)

I dance ON 1 but am willing to change to a different style if it's a really happening place and everyone esle does it.

any suggestions are greatly appreciated. thanks

I can't speak from personal experience, but you might want to do some research on Cali, Colombia.

I don't know when you're graduating, but if you're interested in Mexico, Oaxaca is the city to go to for salsa. Currently there is some ugly political unrest in the city, but it will be better very soon.

Check out:
1. Joel Lopez at Ritmo y Sabor
2. Jorge y Lupita at Salsa Na'Ma
3. Carlos Vargas at El Salon de la Salsa

iMucha suerte!

I cant say much since I've never been out of PUERTO RICO, with the exemption of Dominican Republic.

You might want to try Dominican Republic, they're known to be one of the best dancing salsa, I've been there myself,merengue & bachata is just part of their daily lives, but salsa is strong there.

At the PR Congress I saw people from Venezuela.

I hear Venezuela & Colombia are pretty strong with Salsa, I know that froma couple of congeros that travel around.
