New York shoe and cd outlets?

Hi all, I'm going to NY in June, and judging from the exchange rate, it would be a good idea to pick up a pair of shoes (or two). Can anybody recommend me some fairly central outlets (though won't mind travelling to the outer boroughs if it's near the subway)? Also I'd appreciate some pointers to a decent music store with a good range of latin music?
