Hello guys I will like to tell me some of your favorites slow salsa & mambo tracks!
But I mean reaaaaally slow...... :)

Please guys don't write me the most famous songs, cause i want them in order to practice salsa in something that I don't have! Cause you are getting bored if you practice at the same slow songs!

thankssssss

Why don't you tell us the slow ones that you already have, then, and we can give you a few more suggestions?

do you have this one?

sabor y tumbao - oye como suena

its available on itunes

its about 78BPM
156 "DSPM" dance steps per minute :P

Have you tried searching the forums for this sort of thing already, I'm sure we've talked about slow salsa songs plenty of times before...

When I want to play slow Salsa music for my students, I like to use "Creo En Ti" by Ruben Blades.

Another great track with a sloooow Salsa rhythm is the Latin Jazz instrumental "Trompeta En Montuno" by Chocolate Armenteros. It's on the album "Putumayo Presents Latin Jazz."

heres a few , some old school included

J Pacheco... Maria Cervantes

T. Rodriguez... El Latigo

La Lupe.... Fever

Carlos Valdez... Descarga en Faux

Yeska... Fideo

Con Junto casino... Romance del Fuego

Chano Pozo... Rumba en Swing

If anything, I would call it a slow descarga, but, still would suit the intended purpose .

Except intro and part of outro it's all Jamaica and will not suit slow salsa and mambo. Different groove.

Would be nice to see video of you dancing slow salsa with ska music in the background. :)

If its got a 2/4 or 4/4 time sign. , I can dance many different styles ( slowed down ).. in matter of fact, I used to train my B/room students with a very slow Q/Step, sometimes with " oddball " music , so as to develop control and phrasing.

And, by the way, I recommended it for his use, not mine . If you noticed at my selections, they were very varied musically speaking; that was done with a purpose .

As a point of interest, the song has a reminiscience for me, of a little bit of Machito and Mongo Santamaria .

Old school Mambo, what we used to dance to .
