The CUBAN DANCE FESTIVAL SCOTLAND - The country's ONLY festival devoted to the music, dance and culture of Cuba

Scotland’s first festival devoted to the music and dance of Cuba – bringing together Scotland’s best schools, teachers and performers over one weekend.

A packed programme on Saturday and Sunday appealing to new and veteran dancers, with 20 hours of special dance, styling, movement and percussion classes to choose from, including Regueton, Salsa, Timba, Folklore, Cross-Body and Bachata for all levels.

Sunday 24th July 10am-3pm - Workshops, 2pm Parade, 6:30pm-1:30am Cuban Combination in Concert.

Workshops in Studio ILéaCHé and Limelight Studios, Merchant City, Glasgow.

Concert in Classic Grand, Glasgow.

Apart from all the usual afro-cuban workshops, I particularly like the idea of being taught percussion by Cuban musicians. Ricardo and I have always got on well. I will have to work out what it is I want to know more about so that I can ask him. I can see the next month involving research into a much deeper theoretical musical knowledge of Timba. I have a musicality student who wants to know more and this gives me a good excuse to push myself.
