You were watching Fox News?

It beats the hell out of the english stuff.. but there again Ive spent most of my adult life in the States,, and,, who the hell is training these reporters to accent every other word and end with a HUGE decending one ?.. Ive NEVER heard a speech pattern like that in all my travels !! . They seem to speak in sound bites ( dumbing down the audience ?? )

I believe that you have a point. The "audience" are being dumbed down in more ways than one, by mediocre, "bird brain TV programming" thrown in.

I am not even going into the mind-numbing chemical additives, such ASPARTAME and FLUORIDE (and others) that are allowed to be put into our food and water, by the intellectual prostitutes who pass for our politicians and leaders!.

Bill O'Reilly doesn't believe the moon makes the tides go in and out. I don't think the term "dumbing down" really does him justice.

LOL! I didn't know that!

Anyway, the dumbing down is an across the board thing where important issues such as war (read: mass-murder) are presented to us in a very simplified and "black and white" manner. Most news networks are guilty of this because they are owned by the same few people.

So, we end up getting "journalists" repeating to us the official position of important events, while they omit important facts. The media has nowadays become a dumbing down propaganda machine for the psychopaths who are running our lives. Well, that is my humble opinion.:)

 I thought Fox News barely beats the crazy guy ranting in the park!

Actually, it has far wider politically based contributors, than possibly any network . As you know ( I hope ) most media is about as left and liberal as it gets . And, it usually gives both sides of a story .

I'm not quite sure exactly where on the political spectrum the editorial stance that "evolution is a myth" places it.

To give them their dues though, Fox News were the first to report the death of Bin Laden. Back in 2001.

I am just wondering how many times that man has died so far and how long are we going to believe the fantasies and lies passed down to us from our political "leaders"?

Bin Laden buried at sea? Yeah, right!

And I am still wondering how on 9-11, apparently "planned" by Bin Laden, two airliners crash into 2 Towers, but bring down THREE buildings?

And in their own FOOT PRINTS!

I am still wondering how you can have a "hijacked" planes flying over a highly protected airspace - by some accounts, the most protected airspace on the planet - for 45 minutes, without being intercepted????

And there a lot more questions where that came from....

I mean it is fine for everyone to dance salsa and have fun, but we need to sometimes stop and THINK about the world we live in and where we are being taken, and for WHAT we are taken by those who lead us!

To be fair to Fox News, people like Glen Beck talk about important political issues such as the current attempts to implement a one world government, that most other mainstream journalists wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole.

<backs slowly away from thread>

LOL! I am saying it the way I see it....I don't care if Beck is called a mad man by others, if he touches upon an important issue, then kudos have to be given.

By the way, the implementation of the one world government is not seen as a conspiracy "theory", anymore as it is being talked about openly, more and more.

So, in my humble opinion, it is better to be aware of such things.

Fox News gives both sides of the story????? Not from what I have observed! They usually mention that there is another side, while one of their extremist vociferously supports their right-wing position.

I'm not sure how we have come to discuss politics, but this is an issue that I am very passionate about. So, let's talk frankly.

Based on most opinions, including mine, Fox News is the media arm of the republican party. See:

www.fair.org/index.php?page=1067
www.mediamatters.org/static/pdf/outfoxed.pdf

Or, just use the search engine of your choice and search the words "Fox News, Republican" and read any of the information that comes up.

It wasn't until this truth came out about Fox News and their owner, Rupert Murdoch, that they began to "flip the script" and accuse the mainstream media of having a 'liberal bias. This is not true, but they had to say something since their extreme right-wing, conservative positions were exposed.

Mainstream news is "mainstream" because it is representative of all of the United States. Hence, coverage on mainstream media is as fair and balanced as news will ever be! Both sides of the issues always are discussed.

On the other hand, Fox News is NOT fair and balanced and is not part of the mainstream media simply because it is not 'mainstream.' It is just the opposite of mainstream.

Arizona, Montana, Virginia, Oklahoma and now Georgia are States with republican governors and republican controlled legislatures. All now have passed laws that most consider anti-immigrant. In fact, if they had their way, they would outlaw Spanish in those states!

The fact is that the republican party is a fascist party. I wager that, while not all republicans are fascists, indeed all fascists who suscribe to a political party are republicans, or perhaps belong to the even more radical tea party.
