Tonights challenge is :?: Frozen Green Peas :?: :roll:
Bobby Flay and Chef Morou (what a cutie! :wink: )
Peas, I mean I like peas but for me, they become less appetizing after the third bite. Would be interesting to see the judges reactions. Who's the first to make split pea soup, I wonder. :?

Peas Benjas (sp) with powdered sugar

On my holiday in the Maldives, i went to a beautiful restaurant and had an amazing salmon dish which was served with mashed peas...liked mashed potato...but made from green peas - amazing! Really flavoursome.
Sorry - your post just made me remember it....

That dish actually sounds good Prae. :D I love fish. Especially, salmon. Peas are actually a good combination with seafood if prepared well. :) Chef Flay actually made a pea soup with lobster like last that looked quite tasty. :)

Battle Dungeonous Crab. Better than green peas! :lol:
I was about to start worrying about this show. For a while there it was Bobby Flay vs. well, everybody. :lol:

Crab Tian (mouse made with green apples and champagne)
Crab Cake Sandwich (looks like she got him there)
Basque Crab (Dish from Spain?)
Down and Dirty Crab
Japanese Custard Crab (Not the exact name, itty bitty fried whole crab)
EDIT: Chef Scheib was the challenger's name. He won by 6 points. I think the Japanese Custard lost it for her. Judges didn't seem to like those as much as her other dishes. :(

It's Douglas vs. Morimoto tonight. :D (Watching in between Meerkat Manor marathon)
Tonight's theme ingredient is Salmon. Yummy! :)
Douglas is making a Salmon and beet Sorbet. :shock:

Butter Poach Salmon - Very simple and like. I would love that one! Judges thought is was overcooked
Quick cured salmon
Chardonnay Salmon with blood orange (Collar)
Coconut broth salmon
Smoked salmon with fava beans and poached egg
Cold salmon with lettuc cups
Morimoto's Menu (always creative and interesting)
Smoked Salmon with Salmon Knocci
Truffle Infused Salmon
Salmon Soup (This looked really tasty)
Braised salmon with rice (pressure cooked)
Sugar cured Salmon beet Sorbet (I thought this one was Douglas' but it was Morimoto's. This one, I don't know. :? )
Morimoto lost, maybe it was sorbet? Bummer. :?

We have rabbit, halibut, tapioca and snails from Dechellis. Lobster, blue corn tortillas, biscuits and corn bread from Flay as additional ingredients so far. Dechellis, heavy on the protein. Flay, heavy on the carbs. :lol:

Overall taste won it for Chef Flay. :D I think he was pretty nervous at the 2-minute mark. Anyways, on to next week.....
