2005 Salsa dancing goals

Okay. Another thread got me thinking of this. What are your New Year Resolutions for salsa in the year 2005? What are your goals?

I praying with all my might to be back at class!! UGH! I missed it so much this year but....
I will be doing alot of private classes. Styling, ON2, the works! I'm ready! :D What out fellow Salsa Addicts, here comes Peach. :twisted: :lol: Another one of my goals is to make a congress in 2005. 8)

Well, I got back into classes! I'm so proud of myself. Didn't make any Congresses but that's okay. More importantly, I'm back out here dancing! :banana:

Do you mean resolutions for the year 2006?
In my case:

2006 is the year where...:
-I will learn to move my body like true dancer should, to dance rather than just walk the steps.
-I want to become as good as a pro!
-To have good enough control of my body as well as self-awareness so that I can improvise to the music while not looking like a total goof like I do sometimes :P

I think I got a good basis so perhaps I'll get there this year...

I want to hit my first congress next year.

I'm also considering taking a salsa holiday...

...must stop rehashing the same old generic moves... :roll: and actually make an effort to put moves learnt in class into practice straight after, otherwise I just forget them.

...try out different venues...

...make more effort to ask/remember partner names, because as it stands at the moment there's loads of familiar faces where I don't even know their names, which gets a bit embarrassing after a while..."yeah, YOU over there!"

This is a great goal. And you get an instant payoff effect. Everyone gets flattered when you remember their name.

To me it has been the best way to get new "regular dancepartners" at the clubs. It is so simple....and it works everytime :D

i started LA 2005 , that was my goal, and still having the goal of being the best dancer on the floor by nw years eve..i will definattely do it... i know i can ..i have the guts and i have the heart and soul needed for it.

for 2006.. wanna have a salsa tour, go every where they dance salsa, experience as much leaders as i can..

feel new sensations... laugh different laughs at each dip, smiling with different meanings whenever i follow a move that i dunno..

scream with happiness when i hear a song i luv in a club i never been to , tooooooooooooooo far from home, far from cairo far from Ny.. maybe the south pole...

get my partner back:(he lft me cuz he thought he was bette than me.. well its waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar i'll get him back , i'll turn his head offf when he see me dancing!! :rocker:

and then i'll leave him for another partner :tongue: well apparently am kidding. :D
and meeting as many of the salsa forumers as i can.

I would like to experience as many clubs as i can next yr, aswell as starting some proper Rueda lessons, and definitely just salsa as much as i can!
Also must have a SF meet and greet next yr!
