What would be the one Salsa song (or few Salsa songs) that would make you get out of your car in the middle of a busy intersection and dance like nobody's business?
Mine would be:
Alejate - Hector LaVoe
Para Ochun - Hector LaVoe
Fuego a la Jicotea - Marvin Santiago

Not fair!! Those are groups with many many songs!!
Actually it is a tough choice as my feelings change over time and depends on my mood. Cha cha cha is generally my fave. Amor tracionero (sp) and El Torerro are two great songs by Orquesta Guayacan. Then Edwin Bonilla has one CD out called "soy la candela" I think, that has some muisc I like...
In all honesty if there was one person with me I would get out and dance with her any song, anywhere. I wouldn't care I would be having the time of my life. Does that count?
(Sorry. Can't help myself. I just can't seem to answer this topic too well.  )

Hey Salsa Forums folks,
I just put a list of Rumbanana's favorite Salsa songs on our website. We are planning on adding to the list often. Here's the link:
http://www.rumbanana.org/class/salsamusic.htm
Most you can download on iTunes, Lime Wire or Kazaa. Enjoy!

This is an add on to the previous message.
For some reason the link does not work when I just type it in. So to get to the list, go to www.rumbanana.org. On the front page located on the right, is a link to the list. Sorry about the hassle. I'll figure out why I can't just give the URL to the page and have it work.
Thanks,

Hi, this is my first post  First of all I would like to say that this forum has helped me quite a bit finding really good Salsa music, mainly because of you guys. Well, I was looking for music like "welcome to the party by The Har you percussion group" and was wondering if anyone could kindly suggest a few songs. I like all the other songs too, but I was looking to increase my collection of salsa with a similar unique style of Salsa. Thanks

Vaya Latindia!
I just picked up this compilation myself from amazon.com, and it really rocks!
Mind you, it is not your typical nuyorican salsa, but some of the songs are really groovy.
There are at least 6 great tracks on this one for dancing. I love track number 8 and 10
at the moment, but the others are very interesting too.
Take care,

Discovered this gem hidden in the stacks of the college radio station I DJ in.
It's a compilation called Salsa Africa...so creative, so danceable

Track 5 makes me want to do crazy things on the dance floor. I wish I could see some of the good salser@s dance to this.
