if you haven't been to the Mayan Club competition site in awhile, last Fall they had a "Salsa Team Showdown" and they have a clip of the winners, "Los Rumberos". I have to hand it to this group, it was a nice combination of salsa and reggaeton with their fast-action tricks and dips that LA is famous for and that the Vasquez brothers definitely set the standard. Just navigate through the site until you see the banner for the competition...

I'm sorry to disagree but I don't think it was a great performance at all. I was there in person when they won and the crowd did not get into it at all. Infact, the Vasques brothers had two teams in the finals ..the "2nd" place team had been beaten in the preliminary showdowns by an amature team- the "3rd" place team-and somehow still showed up in the finals and got 2nd place! Also, not that I am bias, but that 3rd's team performance was good, good classic selection of salsa music and a very classy routine.. but ofcourse did I forget to mention the judges for the finals were former Rubero's members and friends...hmm... In my view..the LA salsa style is dying here in LA... why? I think people, paricularly girls, just want to dance, enjoy the music, and not get pulled and tugged by the aggressive style of LA... :P Don't get me wrong- the Vasques bros. are good but the problem is that toooo many people want to dance at their level without paying thier dues and going through all the proper steps such as learning "leading technique" as was discussed in an earlier post...

Interesting! I wonder whats happening in other places that tend to dance LA style?

Sorry, can't help you with the song... But I have to agree with Karlosisim - I also didn't really like the performance - I loved Samantha Vargas in the routine with her partner, but was pretty diappointed by the team... If this is a condign winner of Mayan Club I think the promoters should be concerned about the level of the compitition...
