Hello Everybody,

I've been learning Salsa for the past 6 months now.

I was just wondering if someone could help me out with a new set of Salsa Warmup steps that I could use.

Are there any websites where I can get this info from. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Webnoel! Welcome! :D Hmm.. Can you tell us a little bit more about the type of Salsa? LA, Casino, Rueda, On2, On1, Power2,.....If you check the Video Clips section, that will at least get you started. Again, welcome. :D

Warm-ups are made of the basic steps of your salsa style and a set of additional steps known as shines. If you are being taught Cuban style then usually the warm-up will just be based on basic steps with variations of those taught at an intermediate/advanced level.

The best way to learn new shines is either to go to a class specifically on shines (e.g. plenty at salsa weekends/congresses) and/or download video clips of social dancing and copy what you like.
