Hey everyone, here are my thoughts on Al and Edie Espinoza's beginning and intermediate salsa videos.

Beginning salsa video - this breaks down just the basics. It covers the basic step, hand position, tension between partners, female turn, male turn, cross body lead, cross body lead with a turn, and about five or six shines.

They go into pretty good detail on breaking down the basics. If your new to salsa then I would recommend this video.

Intermediate salsa video volume I - this is a direct continuation of their beginning video (they start off where they left off in the previous video). They break down a lot of beginning/intermediate moves that are leadable. And towards the end they get into a little bit more complicated stuff, but still leadable for the most part. I thought this was a good DVD. I would recommend this for someone who has the basics down and wants to expand on some more moves. But I wouldn't recommend this for someone who has been dancing a while because they will probably be moves that you have already seen before.

I have both of these from back when I used to dabble with On1. I wouldn't recommend the Beginner because I've seen much better ones for explaining the basics. I would recommend the Intermediate.

salcero2005,

Which other ones you will recommend ? I used these videos when I just started and I did not got any new beginning ones ( so I was never able to compare) So for ON1 these have been the ones that I am showing to our new dancers. If there are ones that do a better job of training new dancers we could sure use them
