EEk. Just booked my wedding for 20th May. Am in state of shock. Am now trying to find a pink limo in London that seats 14....

No salsa dancing - that will be the hen night (in USA bachelorette night). The wedding is a very refined affair - except for the pink stretch caddy.

They have done 2 lessons so far and enjoyed it - however we did have a spat about how I danced with another person after turning them down because my shoulder hurt...oops!

On a somewhat non sequitur turn, I have a question about syntax. You seem to refer to your betrothed as "they. " As in "They have done" or "turning them down." Is this a British quirk, or just one of yours? :lol:

Pleased you approve! The venue is very grown up and sedate (malmaison hotel) so I have to make the most of the bit's i'm arranging....I've been left in charge of the table decorations...chocolate salsa dancers as a centrepiece too much for a wedding do you think?

It's OK - got a bit bigger since I started as basically all my family want to come along to the dinner - but it's good. I'm going to have a 'hen' do on Thursday the 18th May at The Cuban in Camden....If anyone wants to join me!

I've kind of given up on organising the wedding - it'll either work or it won't. Having full hen (bachelorette?) 'do' now on sat 29th April at salsa republics El Grande second birthday party. I'll be the one in the veil with a customised t shirt declaring me 'The Hen' if anyone wants to join me. There are 10 (count 'em) chicas coming out for dinner and then we're off to the club where I'm meeting a bunch of guys - I must be the only woman in history to invite more guys than girls to her hen party! But salsa is no fun without men! I mentioned it on another forum and have heard from a guy from Australia who may well be saving me a dance...it's turning into an international celebration.....

I 'think' she's on her honeymoon as we speak.

I had an all too brief dance with her last Tuesday (one of her last dances as a single lady)!
