Songs that are commonly "quoted" by salsa instrume

I've noticed that certain songs are quoted* over and over again during instrumental solos in salsa. One song that I have recently been noticing being quoted in song after song is the wonderful bolero "Historia de un Amor" which I sometimes walking around whistling (poorly) to myself.

*"Quoted" meaning the instrumentalist will throw a snippet of that songs melody into the current song.

This happens a lot. Favourite samples seem to be

Ran Kan Kan
El Cuarto de Tula
El yo-yo
Arinanara
Qimbara
El yerbero moderno

Puertorican Power (the orchestra), Rey Ruiz, Victor Manuelle and Jose Alberto "El Canario" seem to be the best at "quoting themselves"

ive heard everything from tico tico by the andrew's sisters to beethoven...some are kinda weird and you wonder what made them think of it as they were playing. i guess its just similar chord changes theyre playing over and it sparks something.
